A Plant NVQ is an internationally recognised work-based qualification specifically designed for individuals working with plant machinery in construction or related industries. It showcases your expertise and ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently, meeting industry standards.

Plant NVQs are practical, work-based qualifications. They require you to gather evidence from your workplace activities and complete knowledge assessments to prove your competency in handling and maintaining plant equipment effectively.

This will vary for each NVQ, but typically examples of workplace evidence which you can provide are:
•Toolbox talks
• RAMS
• Drawings
• Briefings
• Checklists
• Equipment certificates

To apply for a Blue CPCS Card you need to have a relevant level 2 or higher NVQ qualification for your role and have completed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test (HS&E).
